Start a new chat thread

Authentication

Send a bearer token created on your dashboard's Developer page:

Authorization: Bearer <YOUR_API_KEY>

Path parameters

agent_id string Required

The agent id (UUID).

Validation: uuid (route-constrained)

Stored in ai_projects.uid

Request body

model string Optional Nullable

Model id for this thread; omit for the default.

Validation: sometimes|nullable|string|max:255

Stored in ai_chats.model

Errors

Status	Meaning	Body
`404`	Agent not found, or you do not have access to it
`402`	Out of prepaid USD — blocked before the thread is created
`401`	Missing or invalid bearer token
`403`	Feature ai_chat not enabled for the account
`422`	Validation failed	`{"message":"…","errors":{"field":["…"]}}`

Notes

provider is an internal model-provider identifier and varies by account/model; "sulus-primary" here is a neutral placeholder.
