Identity mapping
A tool's public identifier is external_tool_id. The numeric id column is hidden from every response. Handoff/transfer destinations reference other assistants or squads inside the destinations JSON by their own public ids.
Credential identity
The tool_credentials row does not carry an owner-facing numeric id either — the platform credential id created on the shared live-platform account is stored internally and exposed in every API response as id. user_id scopes a credential to the authenticated user who created it (personal, not reseller-shared).
